Wendy Scalinger

It is with great sadness that Notts LTA announce the death of Wendy Scalinger in late 2024.

Wendy played for  Notts seniors teams for over 30 years, as a regular partner to Ann Brown - together they took some notable scalps!

Starting in the 40s team, Wendy progressed through the age groups, finally being a member of the 65s for some years.

Despite residing in Surrey, she was a committed and enthusiastic team member, not allowing the travelling to deter her.

Despite her recent illness, Wendy continued to play during her treatment - a very real stalwart and supporter of Nottinghamshire tennis.

She was well loved by all her team mates and those who played with her during her time with Nottinghamshire on the tennis courts.
